When my day stood still...

Sad day today. I did not expect this.
I almost had my dream.

Guess that's why it's just a dream...

May kulay, walang kulay....

Trying a new workflow. Kapa-kapa. Hula-hula.
Read more, study more, practice more, shoot more!

Smiling Joseph

Nikon D90, 1/30sec, F/4.8, 55mm, ISO 400, +2/3EV

Cambulo Village, Banaue, Ifugao, 2/28/2009

This is my second time to see Joseph. As always, he approaches guests wearing his trademark... the biggest smile ever!

I wish I could be like him, no problems, no worries, no issues... just smiling all the time...

Banaue wood carver

Nikon D90, 1/30 sec., F/4.8, 52mm, ISO 1600
Banaue, Ifugao Province, Philippines
---
I always see this wood carver whenever I am in Banaue. He sits silently in his small-makeshift art studio/store, working on his pieces, focused, naive of what's going on the outside world. He sells his masterpieces to tourists and visitors. I approached quietly, not wanting to disturb his deep state of concentration, and took this snap.
